Airbus to deliver connectivity services by Zephyr

Airbus has launched a connectivity services business through the creation of a dedicated HAPS Services Business based around Zephyr, Airbus’ leading HAPS technology platform. This will help enable it to industrialise rapidly and begin serving a substantial total addressable market, providing low-latency connectivity services from the stratosphere for telecommunications and Earth observation applications. The new business is a subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space.

Rostec to export upgraded Mi-171E helicopters

Rosoboronexport and Russian Helicopters, subsidiaries of Rostec State Corporation, have signed a contract to manufacture and supply a batch of upgraded Mi-171E helicopters to a foreign customer. The machines have uprated powerplants, improved avionics, and increased load-carrying capacity. 

The contract provides for the export delivery of the latest upgraded Mi-171E helicopters manufactured by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, part of Russian Helicopters Holding Company.

Naval Group partners with Italy's Grimaldi for PIAQUO

The European Life-PIAQUO project aims to reduce the impact of maritime traffic noise on marine ecosystems. It aims to develop concrete solutions for maritime transport, some of which will be tested on a Grimaldi ship.

Latest Russian military Choppers at HeliRussia'22

Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec State Corporation) will showcase new and upgraded versions of Russian helicopters at the 15th International Helicopter Industry Exhibition (HeliRussia 2022), which will be held from May 19 to 21, 2022 at the Crocus Expo IEC in Moscow.

At HeliRussia, Rosoboronexport will show its partners and potential customers Russian helicopters for a wide range of applications in various weather and climatic conditions in the form of scale models and advertising materials.

Final Pléiades Neo satellites ready to join rest of family

The last two satellites of the Airbus-built, owned and operated Pléiades Neo constellation are on track for launch later this year, following successful final tests in Toulouse’s clean rooms.

Following the seamless parallel integration of both Pléiades Neo 5 and 6 satellites, and the successful conclusion of the environment (thermal vacuum, acoustic, vibration) test campaign, both final spacecraft are now ready to complete the Pléiades Neo constellation.
