Transfer of IAF land to AAI for RCS UDAN

In line with the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister of "Ude Desh ka Aam Nagarik" (UDAN) and to facilitate Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), Indian Air Force has facilitated Working Permission and handing over of Defence Land by Ministry of Defence to Airport Authority of India (AAI) at seven locations, viz, Bagdogra, Darbhanga, Adampur, Utarlai, Sarsawa, Kanpur and Gorakhpur. AAI would now be utilising the existing IAF airfields to operate civil flights under the RCS UDAN scheme.

IAF to become Aerospace Force - Def Minister

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has exhorted the Indian Air Force (IAF) to become an Aerospace Force and be prepared to protect the country from the challenges of the future. He was delivering the keynote address for the 37thAir Chief Marshal PC Lal Memorial Lecture in New Delhi on May 05, 2022, attended by Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari; President of the Air Force Association Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Retd) and senior officers of the IAF, both serving and retired.

Indian Army to buy 150 Anti-Armour Loitering Ammo

In April, Indian Army sent out a Request for Information (RFI) for procurement for 150 Canister Launched Anti-Armour Loiter Munitions (CALM) Systems for mechanised infantry. The RFI has been released to help “finalise Staff Qualitative Requirements (SQR), decide procurement category and identify probable Indian vendors who are capable to commence supply of CALM System within one year of Award of Contract / Supply Order.”

Rajnath Address IAF Commander Conference

The Hon’ble Raksha Mantri (RM), Shri Rajnath Singh, inaugurated the Air Force Commanders' Conference (AFCC) at Air Headquarters in New Delhi today. The conference was attended by Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri, Shri Ajay Bhatt and Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar, along with senior commanders of the Indian Air Force. Speaking to the senior commanders, the RM stated that the topics being discussed in AFCC were relevant and contemporary in the-present context, and covered the entire canvas of issues/ challenges that are being faced by the Nation.

Army Chief Presents President’s Colours to 21 Para

General MM Naravane, The Chief of the Army Staff presented the prestigious ‘President’s Colours’ to four battalions of the Parachute Regiment, namely 11 PARACHUTE (Special Forces), 21 PARACHUTE (Special Forces), 23 PARACHUTE and 29 PARACHUTE, during an impressive Colour Presentation Parade held at the Parachute Regiment Training Centre, Bangalore on 23 February 2022.
